Legendäres Tango Orchester aus Buenos Aires
Mit ihrer “10 Jahre Tour” besucht das Tango-Orchester Ciudad Baigón Europa bereits zum achten Mal, wo sie ihre live aufgenommene aktuelle DVD vorstellen und das erste Mal mit einer Doppel-Show auftreten.
Der erste Teil, der ihre 10-jährige Existenz feiert, gibt einen Überblick über die ersten drei Alben: die traditionellen Tangos aus “Ciudad Baigón”, sowie das Repertoire neuer Musik aus “Destierro” und “Elogio de la oscuridad”. Vorgestellt werden auch zwei Lieder, die aus der Zusammenarbeit mit dem bedeutendsten Texter und Komponisten in der Geschichte des argentinischen Rocks – Indio Solari – entstanden. Im zweiten Teil wird das Orchester sein aktuelles Repertoire vorstellen, das Tangos, Milongas und Zambas als Suche innerhalb der Argentinischen Folklore enthält.
Die DVD wurde im Mai in der Konzerthalle des Orchesters, Galpón B in Buenos Aires, aufgenommen. Sie zelebriert die vergangenen 10 Jahre: eine Auswahl der besten Momente und eine Projektion in die Zukunft – einschliesslich zwei Tangos, die nie zuvor aufgezeichnet wurden.

Nach 10 Jahren zählt das Orquesta Tipica Ciudad Baigón bereits zu den aktuellen Tango-Styles. Im Jahr 2016 erklärte die Stadtverwaltung von Buenos Aires sie zum kulturellen Interesse. Es ist ein einzigartiges Ensemble, das den Traditionen des typischen Tango-Orchesters aus der Perspektive des 21. Jahrhunderts folgt. Mit ihrem kraftvollen Stil, der gleichzeitig Einflüsse des Rock, Tango und der russischen klassischen Musik enthält; der engagierten Lyrik, die aktuelle lokale und globale Fragen adressiert; mit ihrer kooperativen und selbstverwalteten Arbeitspolitik; mit ihrem eigenen Raum – Galpón B, wo populäre Musik und generell alle Künste entwickelt werden können; bereitet das Orchester die Aufnahme ihres vierten Albums vor, um den Tango als lebendiges Genre zu präsentieren, sowohl in Buenos Aires als auch im Rest der Welt.

In their “10 Years Tour” the Tango Orchestra Ciudad Baigón will be making it’s eighth tour to Europe, presenting its DVD recorded live and premiering for the first time a double show.
On the first part, celebrating 10 years of existence, it makes a review of their first three albums: the traditional tangos from the album “Ciudad Baigón” and their repertoire of new music from “Destierro” and “Elogio de la oscuridad”. There are two songs written in collaboration with the most important lyricist and composer in the history of Argentine rock, Indio Solari.
In the second part the orchestra will be premiering it’s new repertoire that includes tangos, milongas and zambas as a search within Argentinian Folklore.
The DVD was recorded in May in the concert hall belonging to the orchestra, the Galpón B in Buenos Aires, It is a celebration of the past 10 years: a selection of the best moments and a projection into the future, with the inclusion of two tangos never recorded before.

With ten years of life the Orquesta Tipica Ciudad Baigón is already one of the current tango styles. Declared of Cultural Interest in 2016 by the Legislature of the city of Buenos Aires it is a unique ensemble that follows the traditions of the typical tango orchestra from a 21st century perspective.
With it’s powerful style, at the same time rocker, tango and with influences from Russian classical music; With it’s committed lyricism adressing current local and global issues; with it’s cooperative and self-managed work policy; with it’s own space – Galpón B, where popular music and all the arts in general can be developed; the orchestra prepares to record it’s fourth album and to continue showing tango as a live genre, both in Buenos Aires and in the rest of the world.
