About:
Mika Clemens is a trans* person and works on painting, photography and installation at BLO ateliers since 2004. 2018 Mika Clemens joined the collaborative working performance group DIE KOMPANIE as a performer.
„I am develloping and my artwork ist develloping too.
I started painting during my design studies in Bielefeld, expressing my feelings and my history. I went on at HdK Berlin. For a long time, people and their realationships have been my subject.
Now, painting is no longer my only artistic expression. My subjects diversify. I am open to different directions, materials and artists – develloping and learning.“
